Reservation Policy for Admissions

Rajeev College of Pharmacy strictly adheres to the reservation policy guidelines mandated by the **Government of Bihar, the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)**, and the affiliating University/Board for admission to all its Diploma (D.Pharm) and Bachelor (B.Pharm) programs.


Principle and Compliance

The College ensures that reservation of seats is maintained as per the latest directives and legal framework to promote equitable access to education for all sections of society. The reservation quotas are applicable to the total number of approved seats for each course.

Applicable Reservation Categories (as per State/Central Norms)

Reservation norms are primarily applied to candidates belonging to the following categories:

  • **Scheduled Castes (SC)**
  • **Scheduled Tribes (ST)**
  • **Other Backward Classes (OBC)** / **Extremely Backward Classes (EBC)** (as per Bihar State list)
  • **Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)**
  • **Physically Challenged (PC)** / Differently-abled persons (Horizontal Reservation)

The exact percentage of seats reserved for each category is subject to the latest official notifications from the State Government, the PCI, and the affiliating university/board for the admission year.


Documentation Requirements

Candidates applying under any reserved category must submit **valid and original documents** issued by the competent authority of the relevant jurisdiction (State/District). Failure to produce the necessary documentation at the time of counseling or admission will lead to the cancellation of the reservation benefit.

Mandatory documents typically include:

  • Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EBC).
  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (for OBC/EBC).
  • Income and Asset Certificate (for EWS).
  • Disability Certificate (for PC candidates).
